Driven by a commitment to genuine sustainability, Madestones embarked on a rigorous journey seven months ago to ensure that every aspect of its diamond supply chain meets the highest environmental standards.

Madestones collaborated with South Pole, a leading climate solutions provider, to conduct a comprehensive audit of its entire supply chain. This thorough assessment covered every stage of the diamond life cycle, from the purchase of natural gases used in production, to cutting, certification, multiple transportation phases, and the operations of Madestones’ offices. In essence, the company examined the environmental impact of its diamonds from the very beginning until they reach the offices of their customers.

The result is a major milestone for Madestones and the lab-grown diamond industry as a whole. Madestones is now the first in its sector to achieve full life cycle CO2 Neutral certification, a testament to the company’s dedication to sustainability and real climate action.

This certification was awarded following a stringent five-step process. Madestones began by analysing its current environmental impact, including a full life cycle assessment of its main product. The company then set targeted goals to reduce its carbon footprint and supported impactful climate initiatives to offset any remaining emissions. The independent auditor Vinçotte, ensuring the credibility and rigor of the achievement, validated the final certification.
